The Lighthouse Church

First time visitors discover The Lighthouse is immediately welcoming, warm, friendly and truly relaxing. The live band plays contemporary Christian worship songs that are a mixture of lively, reflective and meaningful songs mostly written in the past 10 years.

Our use of state-of-the-art audiovisual technology means The Lighthouse experience has a strong musical and visual appeal.

People frequently express surprise at the informality of The Lighthouse. Collars and ties are rarely seen and differences such as these set us apart from Wairarapa's long-established, traditional churches.

We have deliberately made an effort to remove what many people choose to regard as the 'churchgoing cringe factor'. At the same time we structure our Sunday gatherings so that everything we do is easily understood and relevant to life in 21st Century global society.

We firmly believe that people should not need to enter a time warp to 'check out' if God and Christianity is what they seek.
